12/23/07: In November the 900-foot container ship Cosco Busan plowed into the San Francisco Bay Bridge, dumping 58,000 gallons of bunker oil into the Bay. No otters appear to have been soiled; but there is no good place for oil on the water and thousands of birds were soiled and will die.
